Shopify bookkeeping that answers: Did we make money?

We’re accountants for Shopify and Amazon sellers. We reconcile your payouts and bank accounts and account for fees, apps, ads, and inventory—so you can see what you earned and what’s available for the next order.

Know where you stand

  • Did we make money?
  • What did our inventory really cost?
  • What needs to change?

Your Shopify dashboard and your bank rarely tell the same story.

Gross sales, net sales, and the deposit are three different numbers. Payment fees, refunds, discounts, app charges, and ad spend all affect what you keep. But they don’t always make it into the right place in your books.

If you also sell on Amazon, shared inventory adds another layer. Without the full picture, it’s hard to know what you earned—or what you can afford to reorder.

Your books should explain where the money went.

A bank feed and a monthly sales total aren’t enough.

Payouts tied to the bank

Sales, refunds, discounts, and payment fees accounted for, with payouts matched to the deposits in your bank.

Fees, apps, and ads in the right place

Costs recorded in the right month and category, so you can see what it costs to run the business.

Inventory and COGS that follow how you sell

Inventory and cost of goods sold accounted for across Shopify and Amazon, including stock shared between channels.

One bookkeeper owns your file. A second person reviews the work.

Shopify and Amazon. One set of books.

We handle bookkeeping for both channels in one reconciled file. Shared inventory and cost of goods sold stay together, so you don’t have to settle disagreements between two firms—or piece together the numbers yourself.

Also sell on Amazon?

Get the books right. Then decide what’s next.

Understand what happened.

Bookkeeping brings your sales, payouts, expenses, and inventory into one reconciled set of numbers. Start here to understand what the business earned and where the money went.

Look ahead at cash.

Need help answering “Can we buy inventory?” Our ecommerce CFO service adds a cash forecast and regular reviews.

For sellers with inventory to buy and decisions to make.

We work with Shopify and Amazon sellers, typically doing roughly $500,000–$5 million in annual revenue. You’re placing inventory orders, spending on ads, and trying to understand what the business can afford.

You need accountants to handle the books and help you understand the numbers.

This service isn’t for a tax return alone, a DIY bookkeeping course, or a one-time valuation.

A few questions before we talk.

Do you only do Shopify?

No. We’re accountants for Shopify and Amazon sellers. If you sell on both, we handle both in one set of books.

We use A2X or another connector. Do we still need you?

A connector can move sales and payout data into your accounting software. It doesn’t handle the whole set of books. We reconcile the accounts and check how fees, expenses, inventory, and cost of goods sold are recorded.

Is this coaching or done-for-you?

Done-for-you bookkeeping. We handle the books. If you also need a cash forecast and regular reviews, we can discuss ecommerce CFO support.

Where are your prices?

We discuss pricing on the call after learning about your sales channels, inventory, and the current state of your books.

Ready to stop guessing?

Tell us where your numbers get confusing and what decisions are coming up. We’ll talk through your books and whether bookkeeping or ecommerce CFO support fits what you need.
